1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information.

1.1. Authentication and Profile Data

The App uses Google Sign-In (via Firebase Authentication) to create and manage your account. When you sign in, we collect basic profile information provided by your Google account, which may include:

• Your Name
• Your Email Address
• Your Profile Picture

This information is used strictly to authenticate you, manage your account, and personalize your experience within the App.

1.2. User-Generated Content (Chat Data)

Mark-VII is an AI assistant. To function, the App processes the text prompts and images you submit:

• Cloud Processing: Your prompts and images are sent to third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter) to generate responses.
• Cloud Storage: To allow you to access your chat history across multiple devices, your chat sessions are securely synced and stored in Google Firebase Firestore.

1.3. Microphone and Voice Data

The App features Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text capabilities, which require access to your device's microphone (RECORD_AUDIO permission).

• Audio captured by the microphone is processed in real-time to transcribe your speech into text.
• We do not record, store, or transmit audio files to our servers.

1.4. API Keys

The App allows power users to input their own personal API keys for Gemini, Groq, or OpenRouter.

• Local Storage Only: These API keys are stored locally and securely on your device using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences.
• No Remote Transmission: We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal API keys on our servers. They are sent directly and securely only to the respective AI providers when making requests.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services have their own Privacy Policies detailing how they handle data.

We use the following third-party services:

3. Log Data and Analytics

We want to inform you that whenever you use the App, in the case of an error, we collect data and information (through third-party products like Firebase Crashlytics) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

This information is used solely to identify bugs, fix crashes, and improve the overall performance of the App.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All data transmitted between the App and our cloud database (Firebase) or AI providers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS).

However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

You retain full control over your data within the App:

• In-App Deletion: You can delete individual chat sessions or clear all chat history directly within the App's interface. Deleting a chat removes it permanently from your device and our Firebase Firestore database.
• Account Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, please contact us at the email address provided below.

6. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
